The Chessmen
These chess pieces are replicas of the originals which were discovered on the Isle of Lewis off the West Coast of Scotland and which are now housed safely and securely in the British Museum of London and in Edinburgh. Many pieces were discovered and this is our interpretation of the Isle of Lewis chess set. The Isle of Lewis chessmen were featured in the movie, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.
THE CHESSBOARD
Crafted in Spain, the House of Staunton Standard Traditional Bird's Eye Maple / Greenwood Wooden Chessboard - Satin Finish features Greenwood (dark) and Bird's Eye Maple (light) squares with a Bird's Eye Maple frame. This veneered Chessboard is 0.5" thick and has a satin finish.

The House of Staunton Premium Chess Box has been designed by the experts at the House of Staunton to perfectly hold your favorite chessmen, up to a 4.4'' king height with additional queens. It features brass quadrant hinges, green billiard cloth lining, and a lock and key with tassel. The House of Staunton Logo has been laser engraved in the lid.
