The design of the Professional Series Chess set has been heavily influenced by the Jaques of London Hartston design from the mid-1890s, a period widely regarded by Chess collectors as having the finest Staunton Chess Sets ever produced. The Chess set features exaggerated broad bases with finely turned details, which are typically found in much more expensive House of Staunton Premium Chess sets.
